Shelby Our Labrador Love

Shelby the Labrador

Eleven years ago My sons and I went by the Cabarrus County Humane Society but they were closing. The lady told me to come back and ask to see Shelby, she thought this dog would be a good fit to our family. Finally, a week later, one son and I stopped by and I asked if a dog named Shelby was still there...she was. After about fifteen minutes with Shelby I called my husband and told him to bring the other two boys and come down to meet her. Well, we brought her home.

At 55 years of age and having dogs all my life, I can honestly say Shelby has been the dog-love of my life. She has brought years of love, fun and fulfillment to mine and my family's lives. We can not even imagine life without her. At twelve years of age, Shelby is happy, healthy and still giving and receiving love everyday.

Thank you Jesus!!

My precious labs are by far the friendliest, sweet and fun loving dogs I have ever had. They are great ball players and excellent swimmers. They love to romp in the woods on the trails, ride in the gator and golf cart and go where I go. mother and daughter are inseperable and my boys are the two biggest lovers.

Labradors, Gotta Love 'em

Her name is Spnnkers, and she's two years old. She's very smart, and like most Labs, she loves to play, run and be the center of attention.

She keeps me company all the time and is never far from me. I can't believe some of the things she can do without being taught.

She's the first dog I've had in many years. I didn't think I would be able to train a puppy again, or even want to, but now I don't know what I would do without her!

Pure Labrador Love

We were looking to adopt a chocolate 2-4 year old boy. We went to the adoption event and out walked " Princess". It really was love at first site. We renamed her Devon. She was 6, nearly 7 years old, and had been kept as a breeder dog. 20 lbs overweight but simply beautiful. She came home to us the perfect package. In the 18 months we have had her we have only had to correct her once for trying to eat the cat biscuits! How lucky are we to have her. She has made our life whole, bought nothing but love and happiness into our home.
