Kobe is 7 1/2 years old and our best friend.
You could say he is a natural born assistance dog, always ready to get the morning paper, run off with our socks and help me make sack lunches in the morning.
He drools like a fool if there are scraps to be had, but don't tell Dr. Pavloff.
He loves to shread paper for some reason, and is always up for playing ball or go for a walk (homeland and neighborhood security sweep as we call it).
He was always a bit on the heavy side (105 lbs+) until he came down with diabetes six months ago, and now maintains a svelte 85 lbs.
